Watching the clock
Wishing the time away
‘Til tonight when I can hold your hand.

Missing the point
And not having second thoughts
What kind of mess is this I find me in.

You: I think you’re something to take time for more of.
You are really something … that I want to be sure of.
You: I think you’re something and I want some more of.

Staying up late
Gazing the night away
Looking at you, not saying anything.

Then saying goodbye;
Staying awake on my long drive;
Wishing my home could be right by your side.

One of these days
You’ll decide you’re ready
And we’ll make some wedding plans.
One of these days
Going to put on your ring
Write a duet to sing, me and you.
