The Day Is Happy

Every melody we write, is a prayer to be sung
When weeping lingers in the night, until we see the morning sun.

Good intentions, best-laid plans, and whimsy carry us along
Like wind chimes on a breezy day, every gusty breath a song.

I am happy when we pass valleys and rivers.
I am happy when I sing and pray.
Thank you for running,
Thank you for jumping,
Thank you for holding my hand.

Even if we’re not alone we must walk the lonesome road,
Every note a weary sound, empty valleys right at home.

Even if we’re not alone, every note a weary sound,
We must walk the lonesome road, empty valleys right at home.
