The first thing Clara Mae remembered when she woke up yesterday
Was all the things that needed doing.
So she jumped out of her bed, in her hurry bumped her head.
That’s when Clara started mooing.
Let me lay out the lowdown like the truth under the light:
Life sometimes catches you, make everything right.
First thing Professor Jonas noticed, when he saw his empty class,
Was that not one student was snoozing.
So he put away his stuff, metaphors and calculus,
Packed a bag; summer was calling.
Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up now.
Make up, make up, make up, make up now.
The first thing that Samantha supposed, when she shed her pantyhose,
Was that her garden needed water.
So she turned the faucet on, for her petunias and her corn,
And in the yard she took a shower.
